In the 1960s, Spanish men Martín (Carlos Iglesias) and Marcos (Javier
Gutiérrez) move to Switzerland looking for work, leaving their families in Madrid. There, as they adapt to everyday life in the Alpine
country, they meet two women with whom they start an affair: Martín with Hanna (Isabel Blanco), the hotel owner, and Marcos with a local
worker. Everything changes when the families of both workers arrive in Switzerland.

The team's inexperienced new coach attempts to register them for a tournament, but mistakenly signs them up for an athletics competition.
